Until we see HDR monitors with decent local dimming, this one is a good option for a PS4 pro or Xbox one x.Home of the computer component that you see most. This monitor gets mentioned a lot here as a good option for a console gaming monitor, and I would agree with that. It's an improvement over the ud69p across the board. The sdr and overall performance of the monitor is otherwise great. I measured a peak brightness of about 385 nits in an HDR game, so it's in line with what they meaured. Its "fake" HDR, but I don't think it's totally non worthwhile. Definitely an improvement with HDR content like a game console, but it's clear that it's not on par with HDR TV's with local dimming. I would also give the HDR performance about a 7-7.5. My unit meaures slightly better than theirs in contrast ratio and color accuracy, but close. I do agree with most everything they said in the review. I've had the 27UK600 for a few weeks, which is the same panel but with a non adjustable stand. Rtings just released a review for this monitor.
